The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ varsity tennis teams traveled to Desert Mirage High School to face the Arabs of Coachella Valley on Monday. Coach Bill Shay said the Wildcat Boys swept the Arabs 7 to 0 while the Ladycats lost a tough one, 5 to 4.
In doubles action, the Wildcat boys’ double teams of Troy Silva/Titus Bosch and Daniel Huynh/Jonray Mendoza swept the Arabs in both matches.
The Wildcats boys Troy Silva, Titus Bosch, Jonray Mendoza, Brayden Chambers and Daniel Huynh each won their singles match.
In girls’ doubles action, the Ladycat double teams of Mariah Bannerjee/Madi Soster, Emily Stuckey/Isabel Plummer, and Anaid Montero/Makenna Whitfield swept the Arabs in all three doubles matches.
In singles action, Madi Soster won her singles game.
The Wildcat boys are now 3 and 0 on the season and the Ladycats are 2 and 1.
The Wildcats host Desert Mirage on Wednesday.
