Nominations are being taken for the Twentynine Palms High School Hall of Fame. Reporter David Haldane tells you how to make that nomination…
Do you know a Twentynine Palms High School graduate who’s made a difference? If so, Derek Keith wants to hear from you. He’s activities director at the school, which is seeking nominations for induction to its Hall of Fame.
To be considered, a candidate must have graduated at least five years ago, contributed to the community and be a role model to students. Past inductees include newscaster Frank Buckley, U.S. Army helicopter pilot Linda Roberts Schneider, and astronaut Bryan O’Conner.
The new inductees, selected by a committee of faculty and students, will be honored at a special ceremony set for February 11. Each will be given a plaque with a picture and short bio for display in the school library.
You can pick up nomination papers at the front office on the campus at 72750 Wildcat Way. Be sure to return them by December 18.
