The Twentynine Palms High School swim team ended its season undefeated. The final dual meet found the Wildcats defending their title with the Golden Eagles of Desert Hot Springs High School. The Wildcats dominated, with a win of 133-to-57 for the ladies; the men won with a final score of 137-to-39. The ladies took first place in all 11 races, placed second in 10 races, and placed third in five races. The men followed the ladies placing first and second in all 11 races and placed third in three races. The DeAnza League championships are Wednesday in Desert Hot Springs.
CIF times were attained by:
Lindsey Scamman in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 3:31.33.
Taylor Scamman in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 27.86.
In the final race of a very long hot day, the girls’ 400-meter free relay team of Lindsey Scamman, Kaleigh Abrams, Taylor Scamman and Kiara Oshana, with a time of 4:26.07.
Coach Michelle said, “We are De Anza League champs. Congratulations to all our swimmers!” She also noted this was a great finish for the final dual meet and is looking forward to the final meet of the season, De Anza League Championships, next Wednesday back at Desert Hot Springs.
