TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS EXCEL IN STATE TESTING

A recent release from the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress for the 2018-2019 academic year has shown the number of Twentynine Palms High School Juniors who meet or exceed California standards for English language arts and mathematics have increased. According to the recent report, Twentynine Palms High School Juniors who meet or exceed State requirement for English language arts increased by 15 to 58 percent overall, which exceeds the county rate of 51 percent and the rate of 57 percent of the state. In mathematics, the number of students who meet or exceed state requirements increased by 6 to 28 percent overall, which exceeds the county rate of 26 percent and nears the rate of 32 percent for the state. Twentynine Palms High School Principal Mike Ruggiero stated that he was very proud of both the students for giving their best for the test, and the faculty and staff for providing quality instruction to students.
