Twentynine Palms High School senior Angel Ammerman was recently accepted into Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where she will pursue her Unmanned Aircraft Systems degree beginning in Fall 2019. Angel was awarded two scholarships from Embry Riddle: The Chancellor Scholarship and the Women of Excellence Scholarship, which total over $76,000. Angel said that, after completing her degree, she plans on joining the Air Force as an officer to continue flying Unmanned Aircraft. Angel is currently enrolled in the Drone classes offered through the Morongo Unified School District’s Career Technical Education programs.
