A sophomore at Twentynine Palms High School recently attended a virtual congress of future medical leaders. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information about the honors student and the program…
Harmony Hill, a 15-year-old honors student at Twentynine Palms High School, wants to become a psychiatrist, or else a clinical psychologist with the Air Force. She was invited to participate in the Congress of Future Medical Leaders last month. Because of the pandemic, the congress was held virtually, but participants had the opportunity to hear Nobel Laureates and National Medal of Science winners talk about leading medical research; witness stories told by patients who are living miracles; be inspired by teen medical science prodigies; and learn about the future of medicine. Harmony Hill is also taking classes at Copper Mountain College and hopes to obtain her Associate’s degree in psychology by the time she graduates from high school.
