Twentynine Palms Ladycat softball team starts their pre-season in December, and league in February. Last year, the Ladycats went 6-9 in league and 10-13 overall. They had eight seniors graduate last year and now have one returning senior this year, Selena Gonzalez. Last year was the first time they didn’t make it to CIF, but that’s sure to change this year. The Ladycats will be led this year by their pitcher, three-year varsity player, junior Latasia Benavente, who took her All-Star team to State in Los Angeles for the second year in a row.
