The Twentynine Palms Select Choir has been invited to sing at Carnegie Hall, New York by American Music Performance for Top Choirs in April of 2014. The choir will have workshops, clinics, master classes, and songs tailored to their singing group and will participate in a concert on the final day. This high school choir is determined to raise the funds needed to go and experience this amazing opportunity. On January 11th, from 12 to 5pm, Z107.7fm will host a “Radiothon” to help these dedicated students reach their goal. The “Radiothon” will raise money in a number of ways. Right now parents and supporters are actively looking for sponsors, guest DJ’s, and business and services to purchase radio time for the event. During the “Radiothon,” community members will be asked to call in and pledge funds. All of the funds raised will go to the effort to “Get the kids to Carnegie Hall.” All of the sponsors will be identified on the air continuously during the event.
