TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL SELECT CHOIR MAKES GOAL, GOING TO CARNEGIE HALL

After months of fund-raising, including a live radiothon here on Z107.7, the Twentynine Palms High School Select Choir has met their goal and will be going to Carnegie Hall in April to perform. After being just one of 17 choirs selected from all over the country to participate, the only one from the state of California, the 22 Select Choir members faced a daunting task to raise just over $50,000 dollars for expenses to attend a three-day music workshop with world-class musicians  in New York City. The Select Choir members, assisted by their boosters, supporters, and area businesses and non-profits, worked tirelessly to make the invitation a reality. Boosters President Anita Clinkscales said that after the radiothon, which brought in about $20,000, the final accounting shows that the goal has been made. Congratulations to these young ambassadors for the Morongo Basin and thanks to all who selflessly supported their dream.
