TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL LADYCAT VOLLEYBALL TEAM DEFEATS DESERT HOT SPRINGS

The Twentynine Palms High School Varsity girls volleyball team hosted a home game against Desert Hot Springs yesterday (September 22) for their regular scheduled match and a make-up match from August 30. The Ladycats swept the Eagles in 6 games: 25-6, 25-7, 25-11, 25-7, 25-10 and 25-6. The Ladycats are now 6-2 in league and travel to Indio Monday (September 27).

Game highlights: Senior Mya Bullion had 1 kill and 1 assist. Senior Gianna Bilderain had 1 ace and 3 kills.  Senior Leah Engesser had 2 aces, 2 kills and 1 solo block.  Junior Itzel Solorio had 5 aces and 1 kill. Senior Alana Gutierrez had 6 ace serves and 3 digs. Senior Kaelina Palpallatoc had 5 ace serves, 1 kill and 13 assists.  Senior Hailee Jenkins had 7 ace serves and 3 digs.  Junior Gabby Wunderlee had 7 ace serves and 1 kill.   Senior N’Taiya Youso had 1 ace serve and 8 kills.  Freshman Jenica Silvas served up 11 aces, 4 kills and 25 assists.   Sophomore Kyla Palpallatoc had 3 ace serves, 1 assist and 13 kills.  Senior Mya Chacon had 7 ace serves and 11 kills for the night.
