The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ basketball team will face Whittier Christian High School tonight at 7 p.m. in Wildcat gymnasium for a first-round CIF match up. After winning a share of the De Anza league championship, the ’Cats will take on the higher, 13th-seeded Heralds of Whittier Christian High School. This opens up play for the first round of division 4A basketball in CIF

The Twentynine Palms girls’ basketball team, undefeated in their league, has a bye for Round 1. They will play at home on Saturday, February 21.

The Joshua Springs Christian School boys’ basketball team will be bringing their winning-est season ever in school history to tonight’s play-off game against Crossroads Christian High School from Corona. The Lightning have a record of 18 wins and 3 losses overall, and 13 and 1 in league; Crossroads’ record is 10 and 11 overall, and 8 and 4 in league. Tip off tonight is at 5:30 in the Joshua Springs Thunderdome.
