The Twentynine Palms High School Interact Club wants to provide a complete Thanksgiving meal to 300 needy families this year and is holding a food drive. Needed items include, but are not limited to: cranberries, roll mix, stuffing, gravy mix, instant potatoes, sweet potatoes, assorted vegetables, pumpkin pie mix, boxed pie crust, and evaporated milk. Grocery gift cards or cash donations that can be used for the purchase of miscellaneous items are also appreciated. Make checks payable to Twentynine Palms High School with Interact written in the memo section. Donations can be dropped off at the high school by November 15, or call Lori Cosgriff at 760-367-9591 extension 46 to have your items picked up.
To be placed on the list of recipients, call Reach Out Morongo Basin at 760-361-1410. The food baskets will be distributed November 18 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Twentynine Palms High School gym.
