TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS 120 TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS

More than 120 students from across the Morongo Basin participated in a two-week camp at Twentynine Palms High School that exposed them to science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, or STEAM. The students in grades 7 through 12 partnered with nine teachers to learn more about medical careers, computer engineering, virtual robotics, game design, architectural design, sports medicine, first aid and CPR training, statistics and practical math, movie making, and do-it-yourself science projects. Students attended 20 hours of camp each week. The STEAM camps were sponsored by the Morongo Unified School District and the Department of Defense Education Activity to expose students to the world of STEAM.
