The Twentynine Palms Varsity Golf Team traveled to Desert Mirage yesterday and came away with a win 227-282 in their league opener. Coach Grant Whipple said standouts for the team were Brandon Steffins 42, Austin Aretakis 43, and Ty Lueken 44. The cats are now 3-2 overall and 1-0 in league. The next league match is next Tuesday at Big Bear.
