TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAMS LOSE TO INDIO

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball teams traveled to Indio Monday (September 27). While the teams played well, the JV team lost 19-25 and 10-25. The Varsity team narrowly lost thee games to two. The Ladycats are now 6-3 in league and travel to Cathedral City Wednesday (September 29) to face the Lions.

JV highlights:  Jadyn Bauer had 2 kills, 1 assist and 2 ace serves.  Zemira Mosqueda had 1 kill, 1 assist and 2 ace serves.  Destiny Cisneros served up one ace and Heaven Fenstermaker had one kill.

Varsity highlights: The team lost their first game 9-25, won their second game 25-22, lost their third game 23-25, won a close fourth game 25-23 and came up just short in their fifth game 11-15. Senior Mya Bullion was big at the net, while senior Alana Gutierrez defended the back court with 17 digs.  Senior N’Taiya Youso had one kill for the night. Senior Hailee Jenkins played strong defense with 9 digs  and served up two aces.    Senior Gianna Bilderain had 4 kills. Junior Itzel Solorio had 16 digs, 1 assist, 1 ace serve and 2 kills.    Freshman Jenica Silvas had 1 ace serve and 4 assists. Senior Leah Engesser had 1 assist, 1 block assist, 1 ace and 3 kills.  Senior Kaelina Palpallatoc had 16 assists, 1 block assist, 1 ace, and 2 kills. Senior Mya Chacon had 14 digs, and 7 kills for the Ladycats.  Sophomore Kyla Palpallatoc had 1 assist, 3 ace serves and 12 kills.
