The Twentynine Palms High School Girls Basketball team has clinched first place in the DeAnza League. Tuesday, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Desert Mirage and won 61-to-33, to raise their record to 19-and-6 overall, and 11-and-0 in league play. Coach Tim Stanford said Lindsey Scamman led all scorers with 16 points on only five shots (5-for-5 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line), Scamman added seven rebounds and four steals as well. Nokomis Cabrera had 14 points, four assists, and nine steals, and Tatiyanna Mackall added 10 points. The victory guaranteed them first place in the DeAnza league for the Wildcats and guaranteed them a home playoff game for the 12th straight year.
