Each year, U.S. News conducts a ranking of the best high schools in America, awarding select schools gold, silver, or bronze-status based on a number of academic performance factors. For the 2015-2016 academic year, and for the fourth time in five years, Twentynine Palms High School was awarded bronze-metal status, ranking 565 th out of more than 6,000 exemplary schools in California. Key determinations in the ranking for Twentynine Palms High School included graduation rates, advanced placement passing rates, above average performance on state testing, and the performance of minority students.
