The Twentynine Palms High School Football team has been sidelined for their season opener as multiple players test positive for COVID-19. Head football coach TJ Stanford confirmed that positive test results two weeks in a row mean that the team will be forced to miss their season opener scheduled for Saturday (August 28) against Big Bear High School. Stanford went on to state that the team will test again Friday (August 27) and that if more COVID-19 tests come back positive, it could also sideline the team from their scheduled match against Victor Valley High School on September 3.
