The Twentynine Palms varsity football team has started the season off well and is looking for more than just a DeAnza League title this year. According to Coach Martinez, the defense is playing great and the offense is putting up high amounts of points. Defense led by seniors Kyle Hope and Andrew Wilson are forcing turnovers and giving up a low amount of points, while on the offensive side, senior quarterback Jimmy Shragge is moving the ball down the field quickly and putting up high amount of points. Both sides of the ball are looking good for the team and as the season goes on they have high hopes of winning a DeAnza League title and a CIF Championship.
