TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL CYBERPATRIOT TEAM IN NATIONAL SEMI-FINALS

Four teams of aspiring hackers from Twentynine Palms High School competed in the extremely challenging CyberPatriot X semifinals recently, and unfortunately for the Cybrids, Vanguards, Aadicts, and Oneirataxia, they did not score high enough to go on to the finals in April. CyberPatriots coach Michael Collins said while the Twentynine Palms teams scored quickly at first, the scoring slowed to a snail’s pace by the third hour of the six-hour competition. The Platinum team, Oneirataxia, lost the opportunity to advance to the national finals by just a few points. For the first time since the practice round, the teams in the platinum tier worked on the Ubuntu 16 and Server 16 operating systems, which made the competition more difficult and competitive.

The Twentynine Palms High School’s first team, #10-2665, is an all-girl team. In fact because this was one of the first all-female CyberPatriot teams, their $205 registration fee was waived.
The team consisted of:
Abigail Goodale
Elsa Lynch
Jazmin Heck
Makayla Heck
Meagan Falkner
Meagan’s goal is to become a Cyber Security Specialist in the Marine Corps

Team 2:
Alexis Martin
Dorian Phillips
Lucas Vantine
Enzo Lynch

Team 3:
Andrew Ramey
Annie Squyres
Cameron Martin
Isaiah Harrison-Lee

Team 4 competitors were the Platinum team, called Team Oneirataxia.
Officially their team # is: 10-2668
Isaiah Goldsmith
