TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LOSES FIRST ROUND STATE PLAYOFF GAME

The Twentynine Palms High School varsity basketball team lost last night’s first-round home CIF playoff game against Bishop Amat of La Puente by a score of 82-75. The game was played in front of about 100 fans at Copper Mountain College and was part of the 2018 CIF State Boys Basketball Championships – Division III tournament.
The Twentynine Palms Wildcats went into the third quarter ahead, with a score of 37 to 34, and managed to stay ahead for most of the third quarter. Twentynine Palms led going into the fourth quarter, 59-56. With four minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Lancers went ahead 65-64, and the Wildcats never caught up.
