The Twentynine Palms High School baseball team has started their 2016 season. ROP broadcast student Courtni Stanford talked with Coach T.J. Stanford about the upcoming season…
The Twentynine Palms baseball team hit off their season on March 1 with a win. I talked to the varsity baseball coach TJ Stanford about how their season is going so far.
“I think our season has gone really well so far. We played some really close games and lost one of them and came out on top on a couple more. I’m really excited to see how they do the rest of the year.”
What game is he looking forward to?
“The games I am looking forward to this year are the league games. I think we have a chance to compete in each and every one of them. I’m really excited to see how our guys are going to do.”
What challenges does the team faces this year?
“The challenges our team faces this year are the challengers every team faces this year. And that’s to get better every day, trying to improve on what we’ve done in the past and I think with the group we have will do a good job of that.”
What is his favorite thing about coaching?
“My favorite thing about coaching is I like to see young men have a common goal and grow together and see the results of their hard work.”
How does he think the rest of the season will go?
“I think the rest of the season is going to go however they want it to go. If they continue to do what they’ve been doing, I think they will the results of their season and I’m proud to be a part of what they’re doing and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
