TWENTYNINE PALMS GIRLS’ BASKETBALL TEAM BEATS YUCCA VALLEY

The Twentynine Palms girls’ varsity basketball team won their game January 31 at home against Yucca Valley to finish in second place in the Desert Valley league.

Coach Tim Stanford said Kate Bobadilla led the team in scoring with 24 points; Carveona Garner had 13 points and five rebounds; Taylor Scamman had 10 points and seven rebounds; and Riley King pulled down 11 boards. All 11 ladies played outstanding defense. The LadyCats will play in the CIF 3AA playoffs starting Thursday, February 7, at home.
