On Saturday night, February 20, the Twentynine Palms High School girls’ varsity basketball team won their second round playoff game at Whittier Christian High School by the score of 69 to 34. Coach Tim Stanford said the Wildcats passed the ball extremely well on offense, dishing out 20 assists, their second game in a row with over 20. Lindsey Scamman had 17 points 10 rebounds, four blocks, four steals; Tatiyanna Mackall had 16 points, 15 rebounds, five assists. Adriann Miller had eight points, three steals; Courtney Stanford had seven points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists. Destiny Dedmon had seven points, eight rebounds; and Makya Bullion turned in another outstanding defensive performance on the opposing team’s point guard, along with four points, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals. The ‘Cats play Wednesday February 24, in the CIF quarterfinals at 7:00 p.m. against the Viewpoint Patriots in Calabasas.
