TWENTYNINE PALMS GIRL TAKES THIRD IN POSTER CONTEST

A Twentynine Palms girl was one of 12 winners in a poster contest sponsored by the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District. Natalie Plummer, 10, a fifth-grader in Monica Coughlin’s class at Twentynine Palms Elementary School, won third place in the third- to fifth-grade category for her poster, “Take a Breath.” Nearly 400 entries were received for the contest, with the theme “Go Green to Breathe Clean.” Three winners from each grade category were selected for inclusion in the 2017 Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District calendar. Natalie also won a $25 gift certificate to Target. Congratulations, Natalie Plummer.
