TWENTYNINE PALMS FELON ACCUSED OF POSSESSION OF DRUGS AND AMMUNITION

A Twentynine Palms felon was arrested Monday (July 5) accused of being in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Gorgonio Drive and Ocotillo Avenue around 12:30 p.m. and contacted the driver, Steven Walters, 56. Deputies searched Walters and located suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. As a convicted felon, Walters is forbidden from owning ammunition. Steven Walters was arrested for investigation of being a felon in possession of ammunition and on a $50,000 warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $35,000.
