After a brief stint with evening hours, the Twentynine Palms Farmers Market will go back to morning hours of 8 a.m. to noon starting tomorrow, Saturday, July 25. Market organizer Roger Thomas told Z107.7 News, “We went to nights from 5 to 9 p.m. because I thought it would be cooler after 6, but it’s not; it’s actually hotter and the market is not doing well at nights.” Thomas also said they are trying to promote healthy eating and all natural foods, but nights are a different crowd that wants food, but do not necessarily care about healthy eating.
Thomas said Saturday, July 20, was the last evening market. He said he has about 40 locals that are employed and make income due to the market.
