A group of local computer hackers is demonstrating its skills today. They are the Cyber Patriots of Twentynine Palms High School, a so-called “E-sport” team that competes with other teams from around the country. The goal: to develop the skills necessary to become cyber security specialists, specifically hacking into the computers of bad guys.
After advancing to the semi-finals of the National Youth Cyber Education Program’s state championships, three of the four local teams are competing again today to participate in the national championships in Baltimore, MD. Let’s wish them well.
