TWENTYNINE PALMS CITY COUNCIL TWEAKS DOWNTOWN PLAN, MONITORS TOW TRUCKS

The Twentynine Palms City Council took care of business last night. First it referred the city’s Downtown Specific Plan to the planning commission for revisions aimed at encouraging economic development. At issue: making sure the plan allows for drive-throughs and an auto parts store. The Council also vowed to spend six months monitoring the city’s commercial vehicle policy allowing on-call tow trucks to park on residential streets.
