This week’s meeting of the Twentynine Palms City Council is short on decision opportunities, and long on ceremony and presentations. Reporter Dan Stork summarizes the agenda…
The December 9 meeting of the Twentynine Palms City Council starts off with one presentation on the Nature Bridge program at Joshua Tree National Park, and a presentation by Southern California Edison. Then Mayor Dan Mintz will give the State of the City address, and farewells will be made to departing Council members. After approval of a consent agenda that mainly finalizes decisions previously made by the Council, re-elected and newly-elected Council members will be sworn in, and a new mayor and mayor pro tem will be selected. The only item of discussion will be the closure of City offices on December 29 and 30. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in City Hall on Adobe Road.
