Lobbyist and solar presentations, parade and monument planning, and curbs and gutters are all on the agenda of the Twentynine Palms City Council. Dan Stork fleshes out the list of topics…
At 5:30 pm on March 11, the Twentynine Palms City Council will gather at Theatre 29 on Sullivan Road to cut the ribbon for a new display sign. Back at City Hall on Adobe Road at 6, the Council will hear two presentations—one from David Turch, a Federal Advocacy Representative (or lobbyist), and another from the Clean Focus Corporation—which specializes in leasing and financing solar installations—regarding a solar project in Twentynine Palms. Discussion items include plans for a Victory Parade 25th Anniversary Celebration, the design for a Veterans’ Monument, and funding for concrete curbs and gutters on National Park Drive. The consent agenda includes approval of cooperative agreements with Caltrans for the construction of the traffic signals on Highway 62 at Lear Avenue and at Encelia Avenue.
