Yesterday, we profiled Joshua Tree resident David Haldane, who recently published a book, “Nazis and Nudists.” Today, David joins the Z107.7 family as a reporter. In his first story, David Haldane says the Twentynine Palms City Council has three items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting…
Following a routine consent agenda, there are only three actions items on the agenda for the Twentynine Palms City Council meeting tonight. The council will be asked to approve the purchase of a diesel, 58-horsepower lawn mower at a cost of nearly $62,000. The council will also consider joining the California Home Finance Authority. That would allow residents and local business owners to apply for low-cost financing for renewable energy projects and other programs to reduce energy or water consumption. There are no costs associated with joining the authority. And finally, the council will be asked to approve the Measure I five-year plan. The Twentynine Palms City Council meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
