TWENTYNINE PALMS CITY COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT, 2013-14 BUDGET SET FOR APPROVAL

The Twentynine Palms City Council will meet in closed and regular session this evening at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road. The closed session starts at 5:15 with property negotiations with Eva Neufield, followed by a performance evaluation of City Attorney Patrick Munoz. The regular public meeting of the Twentynine Palms City council begins at 6:00 p.m. Among items of interest, the Council will declare Twentynine Palms a Purple Heart City. The Consent calendar includes approval of $1.5 million dollar in expenditures, the purchase of a tractor for use in Luckie Park, an amendment of the Measure I 5-year plan, and approval of the mayor’s selection for the Oversight Board. The Council will then conduct a Public Hearing on an application to convert a 1,360-square foot residence and garage into a used car lot at 3986 Adobe Road, followed by a discussion of summer meeting hours.
