The Twentynine Palms City Council will gather this evening to host a public hearing on an appeal of the denial of vacation home rental permit application. The property owner had previously booked guests without a permit. Also on the agenda is a review and discussion around the Development Impact Fee (DIF), a one-time fee imposed at the building permit stage. The council will receive and file the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Project Updates, the latest info on related highway projects. Recently suggested by Councilmembers Bilderain and Klink, the council will discuss proposed dedication plaques in the Project Phoenix area honoring members of the military. Finally, the council will discuss and likely authorize the city manager to purchase a property within the Project Phoenix boundaries that will be part of redevelopment plans wastewater aspect.
