Tonight, the Twentynine Palms City Council meets to discuss issues around lighting, landscaping, and state-mandated redistricting. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
The Twentynine Palms City Council gathers this evening to discuss city-related issues and host three public hearings. The first hearing pertains to the Twentynine Palms Lighting and Landscaping Assessment for District 1.
The second hearing will address the controversial redistricting process as mandated by the state. With the census now complete, the Elections Code requires at least four public hearings on the redistricting, and this will be the first. The final public hearing on the evening’s agenda covers amendments to the city’s Master Fee Schedule.
The council will also discuss and select a delegate and alternate delegate for the League of California Cities’ Annual Conference to be held in Sacramento September 22-24. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road. The event can be livestreamed and viewed on-demand through the city’s website, 29palms.org.
