Tonight’s agenda for the Twentynine Palms City Council includes a Fire Department Response Report and a recommendation to approve a resolution on Project Phoenix, a downtown revitalization plan. The council will also consider the purchasing of a new Hyundai front loader, and the appointment of the city manager and human resources manager to the Public Agency Risk Sharing Authority of California as Director and Alternate Director, respectively.
Other items for discussion include the League of California Cities 2018 Annual Conference Resolutions, and a two-year lobbyist contract. The council was originally scheduled to discuss cancelling the election for District 3 and appointing Dan Mintz to his seat, since there were no challengers for his seat. But City Manager Frank Luckino informed Z107.7. News Friday morning that due to procedural rules for cancelling an election, the item has been pulled from the agenda and the election will go forward as scheduled.
Tonight’s meeting will be held at 6136 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms and begin at 6 pm.
