The Twentynine Palms City Council will begin its meeting with a closed session at 5 p.m. tonight to consider potential litigation. Later, the council will hold a public hearing on the proposed “Ridge at 29 Palms,” a 200-unit affordable housing project on 20 acres south of the Marine base near Condor Elementary School.
The Council will also consider allocating $100,000 for the removal of several blighted buildings along Highway 62 and Adobe Road, as well as discuss Congressman Paul Cook’s controversial land preservation bill designed to protect desert and forest areas countywide.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers on Adobe Road.
