The Twentynine Palms City Council will hold a special meeting 4 p.m. Monday, June 6. On the agenda, councilmembers will be asked to approve a routine item to align the city’s election with the statewide election in November. The council will also be asked to approve a new contract to provide animal shelter services for animals picked up by the county’s animal control. Finally, the county assessor will provide an update on changes in the county assessor’s office. The meeting will be held at City Hall on Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms. The regular meeting originally scheduled for June 14 has been cancelled.
