The Twentynine Palms City Council tonight considers several issues including sewage, birthday logos and an observatory amphitheater. Reporter David Haldane has the story…
Sewage is on the agenda at tonight’s meeting of the Twentynine Palms City Council. Specifically, something called the Twentynine Palms Wastewater Master Plan, a conceptual sewer collection and treatment system in development since 2012 that planners hope will eventually replace the city’s septic tanks.
On the table tonight: a resolution adopting the plan in concept.
In other business, the Council will consider redesigning the city’s logo in honor of its 29th birthday and allowing a previous $7,500 contribution to be used for the construction of a temporary amphitheater at Sky’s the Limit, a local nonprofit observatory.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
