The Twentynine Palms City Council will meet this evening to launch a fresh start to the New Year. But prior to the official meeting, the Council will hold a workshop to consider presentations for the 2018-2019 Community Development Block Grant beginning at 5:15 p.m.
The official meeting will then kick off at 6 p.m. by honoring the Twentynine Palms High School cheerleaders for their participation in the Cash for Trash and Recycling Program. Longtime local writer and journalist Vickie Waite will also receive official acknowledgement for her service to the city.
The Council will then review assignments for regional organizations—such as the Morongo Basin Transit Authority and San Bernardino Associated Governments—and make the appropriate appointments.
Finally, looking ahead, the council will discuss what they hope to tackle in 2019. Twentynine Palms City Hall is located at 6136 Adobe Road.
