The City Council of Twentynine Palms will gather this evening to face a full agenda. The San Bernardino Sherriff’s Department will present on homeless enforcement in the city, which will be followed by three key reports: Fire Department emergency response, Morongo Basin Ambulance and the August 2018 legislative report.
Up for discussion will be rights to the Chemehuevi Indian Burial Grounds on Adobe Road. The city has been reluctant to maintain the cemetery in respect to the sacred land, and admits to a lack of expertise. The council will consider releasing the land back to the Twentynine Palms Band of
Mission Indians.
Other items include two vehicle purchases by the city, and the leasing of city property to CalTrans for a temporary construction easement.
