The Twentynine Palms City Council tonight will consider outlawing the cultivation and sale of medical marijuana within city limits. While local zoning ordinances don’t specifically permit commercial cannabis activities, city officials believe the ban should be made explicit to override more liberal state standards.
In other business, the Council will consider changing the name of El Paseo Drive to Veterans Way between Adobe Road and Ocotillo Avenue.
The meeting starts 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
