The Twentynine Palms City Council will consider improvements at Knott’s Sky Park tonight, potentially worth nearly $5 million. At the top of its list: a new dog park that would cost almost $300,000 to build.
Tonight’s discussion follows last year’s approval of a budget including $400,000 for the dog park and various other improvements. About $80,000 of that has already been spent on lighting, grading, engineering and aerial photos. Other potential projects include a parking lot, tennis courts, restrooms, picnic shelter, playground and concrete walkways.
The meeting gets underway 6 p.m. at the Council Chambers on Adobe Road.
