TWENTYNINE PALMS CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICE JIM THORNBURG RESIGNS

Code Enforcement Officer Jim Thornburg presents his case for declaring a property a public nuisance.

In City of Twentynine Palms news, longtime code enforcement officer Jim Thornburg resigned Monday, Thornburg’s resignation was effective immediately. City Manager Frank Luckino confirmed the resignation but said he could not comment as it was a personnel matter. Jim Thornburg had joined the city staff after a stint in the Marine Corps and a subsequent career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department where he retired as a sergeant.
