TWENTYNINE PALMS CHILD CARE WORKER PLEADS GUILTY TO MISDEMEANOR CHILD ABUSE

A Twentynine Palms woman pleaded guilty Friday to misdemeanor child abuse. According to San Bernardino County court records, Pamela Cadwallader, 62, who was an employee at the Child Development Center on board the Combat Center, accepted a plea bargain Friday for one count of misdemeanor child abuse for physically punishing a child in her care on March 17, 2016. Four other charges of child abuse were dropped for her guilty plea. The children were a 3-year-old boy, two 4-year-old boys, and two 5-year-old girls at the time of the abuse. Her sentence also includes one day in jail with credit for time served and a $300.20 fine.
