TWENTYNINE PALMS CEMETERY GIVES RAISES TO EMPLOYEES

The Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery District’s Board of Directors agreed, at its meeting Thursday, to give the cemetery’s three employees a 2 percent cost-of-living raise. The directors tabled until its June meeting, to allow for more research, its decision about whether directors Les Snodgrass and Sandra Gray should receive bonus compensation for the extra work they performed while the Cemetery District searched for a new secretary. The review of the cemetery by the Local Agency Formation Commission was postponed until LAFCO’s July 17 meeting, but LAFCO requested the cemetery district submit a letter that presents a snapshot of what the district has done and its plans for the future.
