TWENTYNINE PALMS CEMETERY DISTRICT MEETS IN WAKE OF ARREST OF GENERAL MANAGER

The Twentynine Palms Cemetery District Board of Trustees will hold a special, closed-session meeting at 10:30 a.m. today (Friday, January 10) during which it will appoint a new interim general manager. Its former manager, Stacey Lee, 50, of Twentynine Palms, was fired Sunday and arrested Tuesday, accused of embezzling more than $17,000 from the cemetery district. Today’s meeting will be held in the cemetery office on Encelia Avenue in Twentynine Palms.
