The beleaguered Twentynine Palms Cemetery District Board meets tomorrow afternoon, Reporter Dan Stork says they are taking steps to put their house in order in the wake of recent LAFCO criticism…
The Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery District Board meets at 5 pm on Thursday, June 28. The meeting starts with financial reports for May cover sales and services, the Endowment Care and Pre-need Funds, and the auditor’s deposit permit. The single item of old business is yearly performance evaluations. There are many items of new business: Chamber of Commerce renewal; next year’s budget; a committee to draft a 5-year plan; an auditor for the current year; the cemetery water well; the procedures manual; and the salary schedule. After those discussions, the board will adjourn to closed session for the monthly performance review of the cemetery manager. The meeting place is at the cemetery, 5350 Encelia Avenue.
