The Twentynine Palms Cemetery District Board of Trustees will hold their monthly meeting at 5:00 on Thursday, January 29. Note the change in start time for this meeting. Among the items on the agenda, the board will discuss: a revision to the marker policy for niche compartments, since the VA niche plaques do not fit; the possible installation of a security camera system; and establishing policies for volunteer/community service programs. Under old business, the board will: hear a presentation on the rehabilitation of the water well; review existing policies on procedures for accepting donations and recognitions; and discuss updating signage throughout the grounds. The meeting will be held in the cemetery office, 5350 Encelia Avenue.
