The first item of business for the Twentynine Palms Cemetery District at its meeting Thursday, April 30, is to welcome new board member Carey Alderson. Among the items on the agenda, the board will discuss an Eagle Scout project at the cemetery. Board members will review prices, hear a review of the 2015-16 budget, select an auditor, and discuss potential salary increases. Under old business, the board will review alternatives to an alarm service, and discuss benefits for part-time employees. The meeting will be held at 5:30 at the cemetery office, 5350 Encelia Avenue, in Twentynine Palms.
